An antique tin-plated metal chocolate or ice cream mold shaped like a nesting hen. These highly collectible, two-part metal molds were primarily made in Europe (often by prominent companies like Anton Reiche Dresden in Germany or Sommet Paris in France) in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They feature intricate feather-and-nest details and were clamped together to create hollow confectioneries for holidays. Illegible, marked "1305 1L" ?. Excellent vintage condition!!
