The design is particularly unusual, with softly rounded outer sections, beautifully figured timber, a contrasting pale central drawer and an elevated vanity shelf supported on slender metal uprights. Above sits a large, organically shaped original mirror which gives the piece its unmistakable 1950s character.

The dressing table provides two generously sized main drawers, together with a smaller central drawer positioned beneath the raised shelf, offering practical storage for cosmetics, jewellery and personal items.

The richly figured timber has been carefully restored to bring back its warmth, depth and distinctive striped grain. Contrasting pale detailing has been retained as an important part of the original design, while the handles have been refinished in gloss black to complement the black tapered legs and base.

Subtle brass-toned supports beneath the raised shelf introduce another characteristic period detail and work particularly well against the warm timber and pale finish.

This piece forms part of a matching Harris Lebus bedroom suite and has undergone a comprehensive restoration, preserving its distinctive mid-century character while preparing it for many further years of use.
