The loveseat is wrapped in tightly woven rattan across the back, sides, arms and lower body, with dramatic rolled arms embellished with carved foliate details, dark nailhead accents and carved wood feet. The fully woven back makes the piece especially attractive floating in a room where it can be viewed from all sides.

A single removable box cushion is the only upholstered element, covered in a warm taupe and cream paisley textile with coordinating welt. Beneath the cushion, traditional woven webbing provides seat support. The richly aged honey-brown finish, intricate woven surfaces and carved details give the loveseat the sophisticated tropical character associated with British Colonial and classic resort interiors, reminiscent of Lexington Casuals and Tommy Bahama Home styling.

A combination of rattan, carving and tailored upholstery gives the piece a sophisticated British Colonial, Caribbean and resort-inspired character.

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the finish and woven surfaces, including scattered scuffs, rubbing and variations in coloration.
