Unlike the familiar woven-cord versions of the iconic Acapulco chair, this pair is constructed entirely of metal, giving them an architectural, almost kinetic quality.

Each chair features an integrated welded-steel drink holder, a particularly distinctive and uncommon detail that adds both function and character. Slender steel spokes radiate individually from a substantial circular center ring, while decorative feet and wonderfully irregular hand-welded construction speak to their vintage fabrication.

The chairs retain their aged black-painted finish with visible wear, surface variation and patina, which we have intentionally preserved rather than refinished. The timeworn surface beautifully complements their industrial, modernist character and makes each chair feel almost like a piece of functional sculpture.

Their generous, low-slung proportions are quintessentially mid-century: approximately 36” H × 27” W × 36” D, with a 15” seat height.

No maker’s mark has been identified, and the exact manufacturer remains unknown. Based on their construction and design, we would describe them conservatively as mid-20th-century/vintage Acapulco-style chairs, rather than assigning an undocumented designer attribution.
