A mid-century French Air France pictorial world map after Lucien Boucher (French, 1889–1971), the celebrated designer of the airline’s “planisphere” poster series. Executed as a color lithograph on paper, the composition presents the world in paired hemispheres, with pale blue seas, deep blue landmasses, red Air France route lines, and richly colored decorative borders. The design corresponds to Boucher’s Air France map titled Sur Les Ailes d’Air France Découvrez le Monde à Votre Tour, printed in France by Perceval, Paris.
