Offered is a magnificent matched pair of French antique nightstands, dating to the 1920s, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship of the French decorative arts tradition.

Each nightstand features a beautifully figured, variegated marble top with an organically shaped, molded edge. The richly colored Kingwood veneers are arranged in striking geometric patterns, creating a dramatic visual effect across the doors and drawer fronts.

The cabinets are beautifully embellished with ornate floral and foliate motifs, decorative escutcheons, and sculptural cabriole legs terminating in elegant feet. The combination of highly figured wood, elaborate carving, and colorful marble gives these pieces an unmistakably French antique character.

The pair retains its original decorative presence and would make an exceptional addition to a traditional, French, Louis XV, Rococo Revival, or eclectic interior. They would also work beautifully as bedside tables, occasional cabinets, or statement pieces flanking a console, sofa, or bed.

Condition: Antique condition with expected signs of age and use. The marble tops display natural variation, veining, and coloration characteristic of genuine antique stone. Please see photographs for additional details.

A truly impressive pair for the collector of fine French antique furniture—elegant, ornate, and exceptionally decorative. See less
