Incredible artist made sculpted steel chair with intriguing mixed textile upholstery. No signature or maker's marks. Possibly from Rockledge Design Studio. Estimated late 1980s to early 2000s. The back side of the chair features a beautiful designed composition of cut shapes in the steel revealing a metallic fabric layer underneath. Asymmetrical and one of a kind.
Padded backrest and seat. Textiles appear to be synthetics and blends. Combination of a thick black sateen base accompanied by boucles and other textured and patterned fabrics. Chair is designed as one piece, entirely welded and sculpted.
Amazing as a dining chair or accent piece. Beautiful and intriguing from all angles. Very 80s and Memphis Milano, but also recalling the playfulness of the early 90s.
43.5" at its highest point. Seat measures approx 17" across (18" across front of chair). Approx. 17"seat height.
