Stunning large studio art glass Jack-in-the-Pulpit vase hand-blown by renowned artist Essie Zareh. This dramatic 17.75" tall piece features a vibrant cased satin red body decorated with a heavy, deeply raised 3D ribbon pattern of gold and brown glass trails. The magnificent ruffled rim folds forward beautifully, showcasing a dramatic charcoal black border with natural white swirled glass inclusions from the hand-blowing process.
The underside features a smooth frosted base with the crisp, authentic stamped "E. ZAREH" signature and a raw hand-cut pontil scar. A masterpiece of contemporary studio glass with incredible texture, contrast, and presence.
This large-form contemporary studio art piece represents the peak of his technical multi-layer cased glassmaking skill. Measures approximately 17 3/4 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide at the widest point.
