The frame is constructed in solid beech, finished in a glossy red lacquer that shows the grain beneath the color. The signature detail is the continuous curved arm rail, which rises from the front leg and sweeps directly into the top back rail in a single unbroken line rather than meeting it as a separate joint. The seat is woven in natural rush, laid in a herringbone pattern that contrasts with the lacquered frame. Legs are square in section, joined low by straight stretchers, giving the chair a light, rational stance.

The design bridges Italian rationalist furniture with a more rustic, material-led sensibility introduced by the woven rush seat.
