Federal Style Inlaid Mahogany Writing Desk with Ebonized Columns
Elegant Federal-style mahogany writing desk featuring a richly figured and inlaid rectangular top with rounded corners and a decorative central diamond motif.
The desk is supported by distinctive paired ebonized column legs accented with brass collars. Shaped mahogany trestle bases terminate in brass-capped feet and are joined by turned double stretchers.
The front features two drawers fitted with brass ring pulls and decorative escutcheons. Additional contrasting inlay and geometric decoration accent the drawer fronts.
A handsome Neoclassical design suitable as a writing desk, library table, console, or center table.
The desk shows age and use, including surface scratches, finish wear, nicks, areas of veneer/finish loss and pitting/wear to the brass feet, as photographed. Please review all photographs for condition.
