This elegant Mid-Century Modern floor lamp is a striking example of high-end vintage Italian lighting, with a sophisticated combination of deep burgundy-red lacquered goatskin / parchment and beautifully detailed brass fittings.

The tall central column, circular base and large bowl-shaped shade are finished in richly patterned lacquered goatskin, creating the distinctive glossy surface associated with luxurious Italian parchment furniture and lighting of the mid-20th century. The warm red tones contrast beautifully with the polished brass lamp construction, giving the piece a glamorous yet refined Hollywood Regency character.

Designed as an elegant torchiere floor lamp, the lamp functions as an adjustable uplighter with a sophisticated articulated double-brass arm. The upper shade can be repositioned, allowing the direction and angle of the indirect light to be adjusted while also changing the sculptural silhouette of the lamp. This combination of functionality and decorative form makes the piece an outstanding example of Italian designer lighting from the 1950s.

The large upward-facing shade continues the same luxurious lacquered parchment / goatskin finish, creating a visually harmonious composition from base to top. The brass hinges, adjustment mechanisms and architectural double-arm construction add a refined technical quality that is characteristic of premium Italian Modern design and high-end Mid-Century lighting.

With a maximum height of approximately 210 cm / 82.7 in and a width of approximately 38 cm / 15 in, this impressive vintage floor lamp has a commanding presence while maintaining an elegant and slender profile. Its proportions make it particularly suitable as a statement uplighter floor lamp in a luxury living room, lounge, library, boutique hotel, executive interior or sophisticated contemporary home.

This Italian brass floor lamp combines elements of Italian Modern, Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency lighting, making it highly attractive to collectors of vintage lighting, Italian design, 1950s lighting and decorative designer lamps.

The lamp is preserved in excellent to near-perfect vintage condition, with the lacquered goatskin surfaces, parchment-style decoration, brass details and mechanical elements beautifully maintained. The glossy finish remains rich and vibrant, giving the lamp an exceptionally luxurious presentation.

A sophisticated and highly decorative piece of 1950s Italian lighting, Italian Modern lighting, lacquered goatskin furniture, parchment design, brass lamps, adjustable uplighters, torchiere floor lamps, Hollywood Regency interiors and premium vintage lighting.
