The wood canopy … Read more A 19th-century French chandelier with carved acanthus leaf and eagle head motifs, painted to look like brass. The wood canopy is decorated with beads and a small artichoke drop finial at its center. From there, four twisted brass rods connect the canopy to the fixture's wooden bowl. Along the flared rim of the bowl are four gold-painted eagles, which sit above pairs of brass arms that curve upward from the underside of the rim and hold 8 lights. The bowl's base is adorned with acanthus leaves surrounding another carved artichoke finial. With its elegant design and timeless classical motifs, this chandelier brings a sense of regality into any interior. Comes with 3 feet of chain and 8 feet of wire. The fixture has been professionally cleaned and rewired for US electrical using UL-listed parts and is ready to be hung in your interior. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
