The top is made of a single pine plank with a stepped edge. The original turned wooden knobs are still in place on each of the five drawers and are accented with mother of pearl inlays. The drawers' locking mechanisms remain intact, although their key has been lost to time. Each drawer has been cleaned and opens smoothly, making this chest of drawers ready for use in your interiors. Further surface enhancements appear in the hand-painted black borders along the top and drawer fronts. The chest sits atop four turned wood feet that have been finished with faux bois to match the rest of the piece. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
