The frame is defined by turned, bobbin-carved uprights and stretchers, giving the chair its sculptural rhythm and strong architectural presence. The arms are gently scrolled and worn in all the right places—evidence of centuries of use and touch. The seat and back are later upholstered in a beautiful petit point tapestry depicting a pastoral figure surrounded by foliage, rendered in warm, muted tones that feel both historic and inviting.
