Yachts of this kind were sailed on ornamental ponds and are now valued as decorative maritime pieces. The combination of a wooden hull with tin fittings is consistent with production models of the region, and the named hull adds documentary interest for collectors. The form carries the proportions of a working model, with a single mast and the lines of a sailing cutter. As a decorative object it suits a shelf, mantel, or stand in a study, library, or coastal setting. The piece introduces a clear maritime theme to a room and reads well grouped with books or other nautical objects, or displayed singly as a sculptural form on a side table. See less
