Authentic Risom Lounge Chair by Jens Risom for Knoll, purchased 2010. This is Risom's original 1943 design for Knoll — the first furniture ever commissioned by the company — still in current production and a fixture in mid-century modern and contemporary interiors alike.
Solid maple frame with a natural/clear finish, mortise-and-tenon construction, and the signature woven cotton webbing seat and back in red. Frame is stamped with the Jens Risom signature and "KnollStudio 1941" plate on the underside of the seat rail (shown in photos), confirming authenticity.
