Very good conditions. … Read more Public Building'S Packaging is an original photo-offset realized by Christo in 1974. Hand-signed and numbered, edition 48/100. Very good conditions. Christo (Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, Gabrovo, 1935-) is a Bulgarian sculptor and one of the major exponents of the so-called Land Art. He studied at the National Academy of Art in Sofia. In 1956, Christo leaves Bulgaria to go to Prague. In 1957, Christo flees to Vienna, where he studies one semester at the Academy of Fine Arts and then, he moves to Geneva. In 1958, he joines the group of Nouveau Réalisme in Paris; in Paris, during the same year, he meets Jean-Claude, who will become his wife and his partner. In partnership with his wife, Christo is considered one of the most important exponents of Land Art, and is well-known for his “packaging” of famous public monuments (a skyscraper in Manhattan, Pont Neuf in Paris, Porta Pinciana in Rome, the Reichstag of Berlin) and of natural elements (Wrapped Cost, Valley Curtain, Running Fence, Surrounded Islands). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
