Included frame: 65 x 78.5 cm Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right. Numbered on lower left. Edition 38/100. Provenance: Sailer Gerhard Galerie, Innsbruck, Austria (label on the back). In excellent conditions. The artwork represents a figurative composition where there are sketches by the author of human heads and architectural elements appear. One of the constant elements of Fritz Wotruba's work is, in fact, a constant interest in the human figure and the strong architectural value of his plastic creations. Fritz Wotruba (April 23, 1907 in Vienna – August 28, 1975 in Vienna) was an Austrian sculptor of Czecho-Hungarian descent. He was considered one of the most notable sculptors of the 20th century in Austria. In his work, he increasingly dissolves figurative components in favor of geometrical abstraction.
