A pair of mahogany side chairs featuring a curved bar top rail and a crossed saltire splat backrest. The chairs are fitted with black vinyl upholstered drop-in seats and stand upon front sabre legs and rear square raked legs. If you’re having them shipped, they will arrive in two separate boxes.
These chairs are crafted in the English Regency style, which flourished during the early 19th century under the Prince Regent. Inspired by classical Greco-Roman designs unearthed in excavations at Pompeii and Herculaneum, furniture makers favored dark mahogany, clean lines, and architectural forms. Regency dining chairs remain highly sought after by collectors for their timeless neoclassical elegance and versatility in traditional dining spaces.
