Their elegant proportions, neoclassical styling and small footprint make them equally suited for use as bedside tables or end tables.
The fronts feature quartered marquetry panels framed with fine inlay, continuing across the single drawers above. The symmetrical composition, straight lines and tapered legs reflect the neoclassical influence of Louis XVI design. Original French ormolu provides an important decorative element, with finely cast mounts flanking the drawers, original hardware, and sabots terminating the solid mahogany front legs.
Each nightstand provides ample storage within its compact scale, with a drawer above a cabinet door opening to a fitted white lined interior compartment. The original marble tops have molded edges and complement the mahogany and marquetry below.
