This artwork is from the portfolio The Unique Collection for the Olympic Fine Arts 2008 presented during the Olympic Games and produced in 260 copies as the only official artistic product of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Each artwork of this portfolio is recognizable by the official stamp of the Olympic Organising Committee. Hand-signed on the lower right, Numbered on the lower left, edition of 18/260. Excellent conditions. Matteo Basilè (Rome, 1974). His career begins in the early 90s as one of Europe’s first artists merging art and technology. Basilé owns the extraordinary capacity to conciliate opposing ideas like beauty and grotesque, natural and artificial. He has exhibited in major museums and galleries in Italy, Europe and China. He is considered one of the most important exponents of digital art. For ten years, in his art, he has mixed digital culture with classical iconography, re-inventing the idea of portraiture.
