The desk features a hand-woven raffia style grasscloth surface, laid in a geometric diamond pattern in tones of amber and chestnut, sealed under a glossy lacquer finish. The desk is crafted with a broad rectangular top as part of a continuous curved plane in the distinct "Waterfall" silhouette. The apron contains two full-width frieze drawers, each discreetly set into the frame above the open kneehole and set upon smooth metal glides. The entire piece is clad in the decorative grasscloth finish, pairing an organic modern surface with a modern silhouette in the style and manner of designer Karl Springer (Germany, 1931-1991).
