An exceptional and highly collectible Tiffany Studios New York bronze blotter rocker, pattern number 1646, executed in the iconic Venetian pattern. Richly decorated with intricate scrolling ornament, geometric borders, and Gothic-inspired motifs, this early twentieth-century desk accessory retains beautifully crisp casting and an exceptionally well-preserved original patinated bronze finish.

Designed to be used with blotting paper to absorb excess ink from handwritten correspondence, the rocker glides smoothly across the page while serving as an elegant expression of Tiffany Studios' celebrated Arts & Crafts craftsmanship. The substantial cast bronze handle features matching Venetian ornament, while the underside retains its original rocking form. The side is correctly stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS 1646.

This example stands out for its remarkable state of preservation. The original bronze surface remains untouched with exceptionally crisp detail throughout, including the beautifully pierced openwork rocker base.
