Presenting a magnificent and highly decorative vintage Chinese table screen (desk ornament), masterfully carved from solid Blood Sandalwood.

The screen features a classic octagonal frame enclosing a deep high-relief carving of the traditional and highly auspicious "Crane and Pine" (松鹤延年) motif—symbolizing longevity and peace. The scene depicts two majestic cranes standing on intricate scholar's rocks beneath a gnarled, ancient pine tree. The screen rests securely in a meticulously carved, openwork base featuring ruyi cloud and scrolling vine patterns. The dense wood displays a beautiful, deep reddish-brown patina with fine grain.

Condition: Excellent condition. The wood is solid with a beautiful natural patina. The delicate high-relief carvings (cranes, pine) and the openwork base are crisp and fully intact.
