Vintage pair of hand-painted Mexican papier-mâché flamingos, likely Tonalá, Jalisco, circa 1960s–70s. Tonalá developed a notable modern papier-mâché tradition during this period, with artisans creating colorful decorative animals for the growing international folk-art market. Each flamingo features a sculpted pink body, long slender legs, painted beak and feet, and textured green base. Unmarked; maker unknown. Ideal for Mexican folk art, Palm Beach, tropical, maximalist or eclectic décor.
