A charming three-tier wood whatnot / étagère believed to date to the late 19th century. The piece features a pierced brass-tone gallery surrounding the top, turned supports, a single drawer with decorative hardware, and dark line inlay/stringing framing the drawer front.
Traditional construction details include dovetailed drawer joinery and fitted wood components. The warm wood finish shows attractive age and character throughout.
Its narrow proportions make it a versatile display or accent piece, suitable for books, collectibles, plants, or decorative objects.
Exact maker, wood species, and country of origin are unknown.
