A dense, all-over scrolling floral pattern, the "millefleur" or thousand-flowers style, covers almost the entire globular body and trumpet neck in cobalt blue, broken only by narrow bands of stylized lappets and geometric key-fret detailing near the shoulder and rim. It's a decorative approach that rewards a slow look, the individual blossoms blur into texture from across a room but resolve into countless distinct small flowers up close.
