Unapologetically raw!
This seascape captures the power of the cliffs and beauty of the deep blue sea.
This oil painting pulses with energy through several layers of thick texture that echo the rocks and boulders, shaped by thousands of years of contact with the sea.
You are invited to feel the wind, rain, sun and vastness of the sea. The flipside is the quiet strength which is a reminder that we too, can endure things beyond our control.
The underpainting is prepared with great care. Several layers of gesso, and medium are used to create texture and an abstract feel. A mix of palette knife and brushwork enhance the roughness that echo the cliffside.
Overall, it's a piece of calm, and dynamism that will evoke awe in any space.
