The richly detailed seated figure wears an elaborate foliate crown and jewelry and holds the traditional long-life or amrita vase in both hands at the lap. The figure features parcel-gilt surfaces contrasted against a darker patinated bronze finish, painted facial details and hair, flowing celestial scarves, and numerous turquoise-colored inset cabochons.

The reverse is particularly nicely finished, with detailed hair, crown and garment decoration. The underside retains its separate metal sealing plate with an engraved Buddhist emblem. Similar sealed bases are a traditional feature of Tibetan Buddhist bronze sculpture.

Measures approximately 8” high × 7” wide × 4” deep.

Estate fresh condition with expected surface wear, rubbing, patina and discoloration from age and handling. There appears to be some wear/loss to the gilding and painted surfaces, and some of the small decorative inset stones may be missing. Please examine photographs carefully for complete condition and details.

Exact age and geographic origin have not been established, so I would avoid assigning a specific century in the listing. See less
