The natural emerald appear throughout the sculpture in distinctive green crystalline patches, giving the piece remarkable color variation and depth. The sculptor has worked with the dramatic natural pattern of the material to create a powerful yet graceful horse. The elongated head is slightly bowed, with alert pointed ears, a beautifully defined eye, angular muzzle, and a deeply carved mane that sweeps along the curved neck. The highly polished surface brings out the emerald greens and contrasting red and dark mineral inclusions, while the carved grooves of the mane catch the light and emphasize the horse's movement and form. Mounted on a metal support above a substantial matching stone base, the sculpture has a distinctly modern, architectural presence. Its combination of genuine natural emerald, bold coloration, and equestrian imagery makes it especially compelling as a statement piece for your interior. See less
