This monumental, exceptionally heavy statement centerpiece bowl was hand-carved in the early 2000s from a single, dense block of Indonesian teak root wood. It brings a premium organic warmth, rich texture, and striking architectural drama to any luxury kitchen island, large dining room table, or minimalist entry console.
Unlike common, mass-produced thin-walled imports or machine-lathed salad bowls, this is an ultra-dense, authentic monoxyl block carving with incredible structural scale and an undeniable physical presence.
Design & Craftsmanship Details:
Premium Solid Thickness: Features a wide, substantial, hand-polished flat top rim that beautifully showcases the dense horizontal growth rings, tight parallel mineral streaks, and rich honey-gold wood grain.
Dramatic Wabi-Sabi Silhouette: Preserves a magnificent, rugged live edge with deep organic side cuts, natural tunnels, and sculpted hollows carved directly by nature.
Substantial Mass: Weighing nearly 20 pounds, this high-density heartwood chunk sits firmly as a high-end art anchor and will not slide or shift.
Stable Base: Includes a wide, flat-sanded section on the underside to ensure it sits completely safe, level, and secure on any tabletop or countertop surface.
