A charming pair of late 19th-century English pitch pine hall chairs, each with a beautifully shaped dished seat displaying the distinctive grain of the timber.
The chairs have particularly attractive pierced Gothic-style backs, incorporating a series of trefoil openings beneath shaped triangular crest rails, with turned finials to the uprights. The backs are supported by substantial chamfered uprights, while the front legs are attractively turned and united by matching turned and plain stretchers.
