Created as part of the Neo-Chuanpai Bonsai Series, the work combines a copper sculptural body, solid wood base, hand-applied finish, and artificial foliage.Artistic Statement:

This work captures the transformative moment of dawn—a radiant sun rising above the horizon, dissolving darkness and heralding new beginnings. The composition distills the raw energy of nature into a refined sculptural language: the solidity of copper meets the warmth of solid wood, creating a dialogue between strength and gentleness, motion and stillness. Through this balance, the piece evokes a sense of renewal, hope, and the quiet power of ascendance—a universal sentiment that transcends cultural boundaries.

Note on Foliage:
This work is shipped with a high-quality artificial plant. Due to international shipping restrictions on live botanical specimens, we are unable to send a living plant with the artwork. Buyers are therefore presented with two flexible options upon receipt:

1. Keep the artificial plant – no watering, pruning, or sunlight required; the composition remains frozen at its most graceful moment with zero maintenance.
2. Replace with a living plant – buyers may source their preferred bonsai variety locally (such as dwarf podocarpus, elm, or ficus) and plant it directly into the designated planting cavity within the sculpture.

Both approaches fully honor the design and aesthetic intent of the work. Your choice will ultimately determine the final expression of this piece. See less
