An iconic pair of Barcelona chairs featuring hand-tufted brown leather cushions supported by polished steel frames. Originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1929, the Barcelona chair remains one of the most celebrated forms of modern furniture design. These examples retain their original leather upholstery with matching leather-wrapped buttons and straps, exhibiting the clean lines and sculptural silhouette that have made the model a staple of high-end residential and commercial interiors. Original Knoll labels are present beneath the cushions.
The leather upholstery remains in excellent condition overall. The polished steel frames are structurally sound and present well, exhibiting minor surface scratches and wear consistent with normal use. Original labels remain attached.
