The tall tapered body is finished in a striking mottled and marbled ochre-yellow glaze with reddish-brown veining, accented by raised metallic/gilt ornament. Four elongated buttress-form supports extend down the sides to form the feet, giving the vase a particularly sculptural appearance. The molded upper rim and applied decorative elements complete the unusual Art Nouveau design.

The form and decoration appear consistent with Turn-Teplitz / Austrian Art Nouveau pottery of the Amphora period, circa 1900. The underside appears to have impressed/incised numbers; maker attribution is currently unconfirmed.

Measurements: approximately 22” high x 10.5” wide x 10.5” deep.

Estate fresh antique condition. There are chips and losses around the bottoms of the feet, several smaller chips along the projecting buttress/handle areas, and a small nick/chip along the upper rim. There is overall crazing, surface wear and aging consistent with an antique pottery piece of this size. Please examine all photographs closely for condition.
