Plates are each decorated in a palette of green enamel on a white porcelain background, with intricate hand-painted decoration throughout. The decoration is a central medallion surrounded by four elaborately decorated floral panels. The surrounding border is detailed, incorporating floral sprays and trellis patterns, Greek-Key motifs, and stylized Chinese decorative elements. The Fitzhugh pattern is one of the best known forms of Chinese Export porcelain.
