Attributed to Maitland-Smith, each modeled as a turbaned attendant or torchbearer in richly detailed Eastern-inspired dress.

Each figure holds a substantial candle cup aloft in one hand while resting the other confidently at the hip. The sculptural figures are wonderfully detailed, from their plumed turbans and embroidered-style jackets to wrapped sashes and deeply folded harem-style trousers. Raised foliate, arabesque and geometric decoration continues across the costumes and candle cups, while each figure stands upon a substantial turned pedestal base.
