19thC Regency Coalport Imari Bone China Trinket Box
A stunning and highly collectible antique English Regency-period porcelain covered trinket box (or small table tureen) manufactured by John Rose & Co. at the Coalport factory, circa 1815–1825. This exceptional piece is heavily decorated in a vibrant, traditional English Imari palette, showcasing rich underglaze cobalt blue, striking iron-red enamel, and intricate hand-painted gold gilt scrollwork. The box features an elegant, paneled geometric shape accented by an organic, branch-form handle on the lid. The underside of the base is left unstamped—typical of early 19th-century British porcelain production—but features the hand-painted gilder's pattern number 430 in iron-red script. Crafted from fine, translucent bone china, the unglazed bottom rim displays beautiful, smooth, authentic shelf wear consistent with its 200-year history.
