An exceptional late 19th or early 20th-century antique French Rococo carpenter-style gilt brass double inkwell desk set. Masterfully cast from heavy, solid brass, this handcrafted desktop accessory features a stylized acanthus-scrolled frame rising to a central plinth topped by a beautifully detailed seated cherub (putto) sculpted in a pose designed to hold a vintage dip pen. Flanking the central figure are two square, deep gallery trays designed to hold glass or porcelain inkwell pots. The surface displays crisp, hand-finished engraving throughout, making it a perfect standout writing stand statement piece for a traditional home library, executive office, or fine antique collection.

CONDITION:
Excellent antique condition with superb structural integrity and a heavy, solid weight.
