The desk is built around a long rectangular teak top and two suspended drawer units arranged symmetrically at the ends, leaving the central space completely free. Each module comprises three stacked drawers: the first has a lock, while the two below it feature horizontal wooden handles, slightly arched and protruding, which introduce relief and rhythm to the sequence of drawer fronts. The drawers are made with traditional dovetail joints. The visually thin top slightly extends beyond the two side modules and accentuates the horizontal extension of the piece. Four long legs in stained solid beech, tapering downward and topped with rounded ends, lighten the lower section. The compact geometry of the drawer units, the linearity of the top, and the tapered profile of the legs articulate the structure of the piece, maintained visually by the chromatic continuity between the veneered teak of the top and fronts and the stained beech of the legs. Dating to around 1960, the piece is a Scandinavian production of the period.
