The chair is upholstered throughout in thick brown leather, with a boxy, architectural frame typical of De Sede's seating from the period.

The backrest and arms are built up from separately upholstered leather sections, softly padded and finished with a single button tuft at the centre back, while the seat cushion sits loose within a simple leather-wrapped base.

Piped seams run cleanly along the arms and backrest, showing careful hand-finished construction.

The leather has developed a warm, even patina, with natural creasing to the arms and seat consistent with genuine use.
