The front of the bureau displays a gorgeous, rich mahogany patination that warms the home interior.

The fall front to the bureau can be held open by the two smooth pull out supports, finished with round metal handles.
The front and the upper drawer can both be locked with the 2 keys provided.

The desk interior opens to a leather writing desk worktop that has been embossed with gorgeous gilt floral designs.
The interior has 3 pigeon holes, above 2 small side drawers, and a central thin roll shut central storage. These are perfect for storing documents books, and writing utensils.

The front of the bureau has a small upper drawer, with three larger, lower graduating drawers.

All of the drawers are finished with stunning figured drop handles and raised lips surrounding the drawers.

This writing desk standing proudly on 4 solid figured feet, with a lower boarder to finish.

Overall, this writing bureau is in great vintage condition, with slight signs of use, scratches and veneer wear, as to be expected from an item with years of age (see photographs).
There are signs of wear to the leather top, but no damage (see photograph).
