The Japan series was released by Pastoe in 1958 a series of designs by the Dutch designer Cees Braakman. The desk is model EU02 which maximises functionality but does not loose practicality with two sets of drawers for maximum practicality. The top is deep enough to accommodate two people working over from each other.
Condition
The Desk is in very good condition with some signs of use consistent with age and usage. The top shows some minor signs of wear which give a nice feel of Patina to the top. The drawers do not have the original keys but the closing mechanisms still work well the top drawer must firs be opened to release the lower drawers.
