The substantial, thick-walled glass bowl features an elaborate decoration of finely textured gold-toned surfaces surrounded by stylized frosted leaves. Delicately engraved leaf veins and the softly translucent green and amber tones create remarkable depth and changing reflections depending on the light and viewing angle. The bowl is presented on a custom-made circular base of highly polished metal, supported by three sculptural brass feet with elegantly curled ends. Their organic form complements the botanical decoration of the glass and gives the piece a beautifully balanced, almost floating appearance. with a diameter of 39.8 cm (15.67 in.), a height of 10 cm (3.94 in.) and a substantial total weight of approximately 4.5 kg (9.92 lbs.), this is an impressive and highly decorative object. The considerable weight, precisely finished glass edge and elaborate surface treatment underline the exceptional quality of its craftsmanship. The glass is artist-signed, although the handwritten signature can no longer be clearly deciphered.
