An elegant picture frame, made in Austria during the early Art Nouveau period, from silver-plated brass.
The frame is handcrafted. The chased elements (suggested garlands with flowers) are borrowed from Neoclassicism. This contrasts with the strict lines of the arch and the rest of the frame.
