Produced during the height of the mid-century studio movement in Venice, California (circa late 1960s to early 1970s), this iconic piece perfectly embodies the "Organic Modern" aesthetic of the era.

This vase features a heavily textured, fluted mushroom cap top finished in a beautiful earthy gold-and-cream glaze, contrasting elegantly with a dark, speckled bronze-brown stoneware trunk.

This piece retains its original vintage orange label on the base, which reads: “Robert Maxwell Stoneware Handcrafted Designs, California.”
