Its tall architectural silhouette, elegant symmetry and sparkling crystal basket create a dramatic focal point for a grand interior.
The chandelier is constructed from substantial cast bronze and retains a warm gold-toned antique patina. Classical Empire and Neoclassical decoration appears throughout the frame, including finely modelled foliage, acanthus leaves, laurel-inspired ornament, bows and sculptural architectural details.
A large lower basket is formed from hundreds of strands of clear faceted crystal beads, finished along the lower edge with elongated icicle-shaped prisms and a large hanging crystal ball. Above, tall bronze supports rise toward a smaller crystal-covered crown, while draped crystal garlands and additional prisms decorate the open central section.
When illuminated, the numerous antique-style crystals catch and refract the light from different angles, producing an impressive brilliance while emphasizing the warm gold of the bronze.
