“Man on a bridge” woodblock print signed by Margo Hoff, c.1950’s
Hoff is a well listed and prominent American modernist artist, b.1910 Tulsa, d.2008 New York. This woodblock shows a stylized elongated figure about to cross an iron bridge. It is characteristic of mid- century modernist print styles which Hoff was inspired by. Hoff is known for her paintings, prints and woodcuts featuring bold graphic styles and abstract motifs. It has a whitewash frame and fabric matting. Hanging wire on rear. Image height 19”, width 10.25”
