The tabletop is an oval-shaped formal dining surface with the intricate floral and leaf marquetry wood inlay in the center. The outer edge of the tabletop features a dramatic dark gradient Ombre fade. A deep, near-black shading frames the perimeter and gradually blends inward into a warm, golden-honey brown field of natural wood grain. The perimeter of the table is finished with a stacked, decorative molding style that follows the sweeping oval shape of the top. The table legs feature an ornate, highly stylized double pedestal base. The design is defined by the distinct characteristics of carved leaves, fluted columns, and scroll-foot pediment legs. 8 dining chairs accompany the set. The backs and seats are covered in floral tapestry fabric with double-sided backrests and a nailhead trim finish. See less

The tabletop was protected at all times with a soft, felt-lined tablecloth. The tapestry covers on the chairs might be the original fabric, but can not be confirmed. 7 of the 8 chairs are usable, though they show signs of deterioration (in particular, one of the chairs; see photos); reupholstering and reinforcement are recommended. less
