Antique French Louis XVI style writing table in warm-toned fruitwood, likely cherry. The table has a rectangular paneled top, a single wide drawer with an aged brass bail pull, and four turned and fluted legs.
The legs are joined by a decorative stretcher with a removable center finial. Molded edges and paneled details give the piece a classic French revival look.
At 35 inches wide, it works well as a small writing desk, bedroom desk, vanity, library table, or console. Floor-to-apron clearance is 23 inches, with approximately 29 inches between the legs.
The wood has a warm amber-brown patina with visible grain variation throughout. The drawer interior and bottom has been lined with decorative paper.
